The NDIS Code of Conduct

The NDIS Code of Conduct applies to all individuals working or engaged by NDIS providers, regardless of registration status.

The NDIS Code of Conduct ensures safe and ethical support for individuals with disabilities in the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It follows the principles outlined in the National Standards for Disability Services, National Mental Health Standards, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013.

In providing support or services to people with disability, a Code-covered person must:

  • Provide support and services safely and competently, with care and skill.
  •  Act with integrity, honesty and transparency.
  •  Promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns that may impact the quality and safety of supports and services provided to people with disability.
  •  Protect individuals from all forms of violence against, and exploitation, neglect and abuse of, people with disability
